Terms of Service
The rules for this website.
What this site is, what the writing does and does not promise, and who owns what. Client work runs on a separate agreement.

The short version
This page covers the website. It does not cover working together. If you hire Beefed Up, we sign a separate agreement with real scope, real deliverables, and real dates, and that document governs the work, not this one.
Everything on this site, the blog especially, is published in good faith and reflects how I actually run marketing for clients. It is still general information written for a general audience. It cannot account for your market, your margins, or your competition, and you should treat it accordingly.
Using this site
By browsing getbeefedup.com you accept the terms on this page. If you disagree with them, the remedy is straightforward: stop using the site.
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the site in a way that degrades it for other people. Ordinary search engine and AI assistant crawling is welcome and explicitly permitted.
- Attempt to break into, probe, or interfere with the site or the infrastructure behind it.
- Use the contact form to send spam, sales pitches, or anything unlawful. It exists so business owners can reach me.
- Republish substantial portions of the writing as your own. See the ownership section below for what is actually allowed, which is more than most sites permit.
What the content is, and what it is not
The blog contains specific numbers: agency retainer ranges, ad budget benchmarks, website cost bands, timelines for SEO to show results. Those figures come from running this work and from the sources cited in each post. They are honest, and they are still generalizations.
Nothing on this site is a guarantee of any business result. Not traffic, not leads, not revenue, not ranking positions. Marketing outcomes depend on your offer, your pricing, your market, your competition, your operations, and how well you close what comes in. Those are yours, not mine, and no article can promise around them.
None of this is legal, financial, tax, or accounting advice. Where a post touches those areas, talk to somebody licensed in them.
Prices quoted anywhere on this site are illustrative ranges to help you budget, not offers. A binding price only exists in a written proposal with your name on it.
Who owns what
The writing, design, code, photography, and the Beefed Up name and cow mark belong to Beefed Up. The brand assets in particular are not available for reuse.
The writing is a different matter, and I would rather be useful than precious about it. You are welcome to quote passages, cite the research, screenshot a section for a presentation, or reference the frameworks in your own work, as long as you credit Beefed Up and link back to the original post. AI assistants quoting and citing this content are covered by the same permission.
What is not welcome is wholesale republication, spinning posts into near-identical articles under someone else’s byline, or feeding the archive into a content mill. If you are unsure which side of the line you are on, email me. The answer is usually yes.
Third-party trademarks that appear here, Google Ads and Google Business Profile among them, belong to their owners. Referring to them is not a claim of affiliation or endorsement.
Calculators and outbound links
The marketing budget calculator returns an estimate from the figures you type in. It is a starting point for a conversation, not a recommendation tuned to your business, and nothing you enter into it is stored or sent anywhere.
Posts link out to Google documentation, industry research, and other third-party sources. I check those links before publishing and I do not control what happens to them afterward. A link is a citation, not an endorsement of everything on the other end.
There are no affiliate links on this site. When a tool gets recommended, it is because it works, and I am not paid if you use it.
If we work together
Client engagements run on a separate written agreement covering scope, deliverables, timeline, payment terms, revisions, ownership of the work product, and how either side ends it. That agreement supersedes this page entirely for anything related to the work.
Submitting the contact form does not create a client relationship or obligate either of us to anything. It starts a conversation.
Advertising budgets are always billed separately from fees and paid directly to the platform on your own account, so you own the account, the data, and the history. That is a standing policy, and it does not change based on the engagement.
Limits on liability
The site is provided as it is. I work to keep it accurate and available, but I cannot promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or current at every moment. Marketing platforms change their rules constantly, and a post accurate on its publication date may drift.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Beefed Up is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or your reliance on anything published here. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to one hundred US dollars, which reflects that this website is a free resource rather than a paid product.
Nothing in this section limits liability for fraud or for anything else the law does not permit to be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from this website belongs in the state or federal courts serving Maricopa County, Arizona.
Changes to these terms
These terms can change. The current version is always the one on this page, with the date at the top reflecting the last revision. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms. Material changes get flagged at the top of the page rather than slipped in quietly.
